In the wake of the June 2019 release of the US Government’s Strategy on Women, Peace and Security, OSF Fellow Ambassador Donald Steinberg shares his thoughts on the Strategy overall, as well as his recommendations to ensure its full implementation in the months and years ahead. In addition to providing invaluable insight into the history and evolution of the WPS agenda in the US context, Ambassador Steinberg identifies specific policy and advocacy recommendations - essentially creating a “toolkit” which can be used by advocates looking to meaningfully focus and target their outreach.
