Our Secure Future Founder Honored on International Women’s Day

On March 8, 2018 Our Secure Future’s Founder, Cynda Collins Arsenault, was celebrated as the Honoree at the International Women’s Day Gala Luncheon and Seminar hosted by World Denver.

The theme of the day was Women in Space, and the day’s events began with a morning panel discussion, moderated by Cynda, that highlighted women’s work in the field.  Panelists included Aires J. Almon of 100 Year Starship, Allison Barto of Ball Aerospace, Laura Delgado Lopez of the Harris Corporation, Maureen O’Brien of Oakman Aerospace, and Victoria Samson of the Secure World Foundation.  After lunch and Cynda’s acceptance speech, the event concluded with remarks from keynote speaker, Dr. Mae Jemison, the first African-American woman in space, who reminded us to take time to look up at the sky.

We were excited to see an outpouring of local support for Cynda and to hear from so many amazing women making tremendous advancements in STEM and space exploration!  Thanks to World Denver for hosting this fantastic event and recognizing Cynda’s work!
