Our Secure Future Attends Innovations in Peacebuilding Discussion

Our Secure Future attended an event concluding a major research project “Innovations in Peacebuilding,” at the Josef Korbel School of International Studies.

Our Secure Future was pleased to attend an event concluding a major research project “Innovations in Peacebuilding,” conducted by the Josef Korbel School of International Studies.  Principal Investigator, Professor Timothy Sisk gave the project overview.  The event featured presentations and discussion on work conducted by Professors Marie Berry and Oliver Kaplan who shared their work “Women’s Contributions to Innovations in Peacebuilding: Lessons from Bosnia, Nepal and Beyond” and “Challenges and Innovations in Peacebuilding in Colombia.”  Gender plays a key role in much of the Innovation Project’s research and Marie Berry’s contributions provide critical insight into the disconnect between international frameworks and women’s contributions on the ground that are necessary to understanding the implementation of Women, Peace and Security.
