The 70th Anniversary of the Conference on World Affairs (CWA) hosted by the University of Colorado at Boulder, made two large strides for gender equality.  First, this year was the closest the conference has come to complete gender parity with near fity-fifty split between men and women panelists. Second, this year had a special theme, “Leadership: In the Words of Women.”  Panel discussions included titles such as, “The Tide of Women in Politics,” “The Girl Effect: Impact of Women and Girls Worldwide,” and “Women Waging Peace.”

Our Secure Future was glad to have the opportunity to host some lunch-time conversations on Women, Peace and Security with CWA panelists between sessions.  We were excited to share our new projects and ideas and to learn more about this diverse group of thought leaders!
